Old works

Holy crap muffins on a stick, I'm back in Singapore! I miss Redmond badly. I love that place. >:

Here's some stuff that I forgot I had that I found while I was cleaning up my files before upgrading to Windows 8.

I am in Redmond now

Holy crap muffins on a stick, I'm already in Redmond, Washington! It is cold but less colder than other nights, and it had been raining (like finally) since I've arrived here more than a month ago. Loving the autumn though, we get none of these leaves back home. Anyways, updates!

A wip of a digital painting of Chris Evans that I've been working on recently.. not satisfied with the skin at all. Needs more colors.

Some sketches of Celestina, a character conjured up from my teenage hood. It feels good to draw old characters and improve on them! Was feeling melancholy when I was drawing these, hence her emotions. But pfft how generic are they? MORE EMOTIONS PLZ

And more sketches of old characters. Haven't touched these guys for a long time. That sounded wrong..

Some costume design for Celestina, through various periods of her life.

Just doodling. Girls with guns are awesome k.

More old characters! I must do a proper character sheet for them each one day.

I realised I never actually posted some ink and watercolor sketches that I did for an assignment, which is to do a comic base on the events of your life for the next one week. It was fun and my first time using watercolors and ink. Hopefully, I manage to convey some emotions through my panels.

Currently I'm in Digipen Redmond Campus now to finish up my PRJ450, and then it is back to Singapore I go thus ending my crazy 2 year stint in this school. 6 semesters squeezed into 2 years is really no joke, but I really learnt alot here. More updates soon!

Final for the wip posted earlier. In all honesty, I'm never satisfied with my work, but this will have to do for now, till I have time to touch it up again :)

Hello again! Some new updates.

There are a few more but I decided these are the only worthy ones to show here. First life drawing session of the semester, and I missed last week's one because of rushing of assignments. Went for another one on Thursday afternoon, but a lecturer was using that time to conduct a make up lesson as well, so didn't get as many drawings as usual and I have not scanned those. Looking forward to this Monday's session though, which basically means I have to complete my assignments ahead of time to make time for it.. sigh.

Some WIPS below.  This is a WIP for one of my class assignments, based on the monster concept I posted earlier.

This image consists of stuff I found in my computer that I conveniently forget to finish.

Therefore I decided to continue this one.

Tally-ho!

Hello!

It's been quite a while since I've posted here. No fears, I am not M.I.A-ing yet. It's just that last semester has been so busy and I'm more prone to uploading my works to DA and FB rather than here. Oh well, time to remedy this!

20 mins on a random sketch in my sketchbook.

About 3 hours on photoshop with reference. Practicing painting without color-picking.

My entry for a League of Legends fanart competition. Done over several days with the little time I could squeeze out with school and everything. Many entries were really good, and the outcome of the competition was quite unexpected, but that's a story for another day. Nevertheless, it was good practice!

The character I've been working on last semester, modelled, unwrapped, textured, rigged, animated by yours truly!

And here are some of his expressions to prove that he lives.

This year I hope to attend more life drawing classes and work harder on my painting and drafting skills. :)

2nd Semester's Life Drawings.

Was into drawing portraits last semester. Been a while since I've gone life drawing, the hell that was Semester 2 was practically eating my life away. This sem feels a BIT more acceptable (I'm afraid to say the word 'relax') because I'm taking 5 modules. Here's to more improvements in the future. Also, I'd like to thank ZS for teaching me how to recognise shapes in drawing. :D
Note to self: Write down the timing at the bottom of the page before I forget.

Stuff that came out of Semester 2.

Silver-Backed Weasel. The turntable is a collaborative effort with my groupmate, who helped me with drawing the perspective and did the painting. I did the final painting in the end to match up with the expression sheet below.

Drawn and painted by me.

Rainfall boy. I really do like him, even if my lecturer does not.

My first time creating a mecha character ever. Painting metal is quite soothing.

Had my first 3d class. In this school anyway. Done in 3dsmax.
